K.C.Collinson

Fantasy Author

K.C.Collinson grew up on the west coast of Scotland surrounded by dramatic landscapes, ruined castles, and stories of heroes who battled the odds for freedom. Inspired by her Scottish heritage, she creates Celtic-themed worlds that bring to life stories of great heroines, not to mention the occasional monster that once roamed the glens.

K.C.Collinson won a place in ‘The Hook’ pitch at the SCBWI-UK winter conference 2023, was long-listed in Undiscovered Voices 2024, and was featured in the prestigious 2024 Cheshire Novel Prize Showcase. She is a member of SCBWI-UK, the Society of Authors, and the British Fantasy Society.

The glen looked beautiful. Reds and purples, the shades of a fading bruise, streaked the twilight sky and reflected on the rippling waters of Loch Awe. Shadows flickered and danced around the mountains, as if the gods really had breached the entrance to this world and were gathering their forces, readying for battle.
